Help- Car Doesn't Start Sometimes
I swapped my clutch about a month ago and ever since then, every once in a while my car won't start. I'm thinking it might be a bad starter since we were working in that area when we did the clutch, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't think it could be the battery. Only other thing I can think of is bad wiring (again a lot of wires had to be moved/unclipped etc when I did the clutch) or maybe the solenoid. The symptoms are when I try to start it up I can hear two clicks from what I assume is the starter and I can hear the fuel pump. Nothing else happens, doesn't try to crank or anything.
The first time it wouldn't start was about a week after I did the clutch and now it has happened probably 5-10 times since. I've had to push start the car when it has happened, but I can't keep doing it because it can't be good for the clutch and trans and also because it's embarrassing asking people for a push lol. Any advise is appreciated.

I grabbed a rod that I can use to tap on the starter if it doesn't work. I guess if I use it and then the car starts, I can assume the starter is going bad.
Besides that, how can I be sure the starter is bad and it's not wiring or something like that? I'd just hate to drop all that money on a new starter and still have problems...
