Default Help! convertible top broken

Just realized today that my convertible won't go all the way down. Sits approx. 3-4" higher than before. Anybody experianced a problem like this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This can happen when one of the top frame members does not fold down properly. One in particular, located just above your head when you sit in the car, needs to fold back properly or else the top will sit higher than normal. I remember this problem being reported since the early days for the "00 model year cars. Carefully watch your top as it folds down and you should be able to see if one of the frame members doesn't fold correctly. HTH

I hope this isn't a side effect of the Diablo O2 simulator...

My top wouldn't fold down all the way once. I forgot about it until you brought it up.

Happened once, I raised it halfway, put it back down, and it went all the way. No problems since.

It is a problem of the "rubber bands" that pull back on the bar above your head when top is up. I noticed this on a '01 soon as he got the car! We were all looking for differences well that was one of them. It just doesn't pull that rod enough. As for a fix..........I dunno!
