Help! convertible top broken

Me thinks that sewing on another elastic layer will prevent it from permanently stretching out and causing the issue. Unfortunately, I don't know how to sew..

Thanks for all the replies! I guess I will call up the dealership see if they can do anything about it. Otherwise I will just have to live with it.

When its sort of cold out (below 50F) the top is a little stiff and doesn't go all the way down. I just raise it partially and then lower it, sometimes I have to do this more than once before it fully lowers.
