Default HELP! Convertible Top Doesn't Work...

My top just stopped working (won't go up or down) about a month ago, after I had my AEM EMS installed and tuned. After running some tests, we thought it was a defective top switch. So I ordered a new one and installed it today...but the top still wouldn't work.

Anyone have any thoughts on what the problem could be? I'm thinking maybe a busted fuse? Or maybe the top motor??

Thanks.

check the fuses first before doing anything else, it could just be that simple.

There is a wire that is on a spade connector to the handbrake under the center console. If that came off somehow, it would not let the top down.

^ Would the spade connector happen to be green?

Did they take out the console when installing wiring? Sounds more like the switch to tell if the brake is on, and I have heard that there is also a speed test for top operation that may be involved.

Yeah, they took the console out to install my AFR gauge in the cupholder. I'll check the brake switch too. I did notice that there is a green connector under there that is not currently connected to anything.

CSI says that the green wire is the most likely suspect, pending DNA analysis. Unless the system believes the handbrake is engaged, there is no alfresco fun allowed.

Does anyone remember if the windows lower if the handbrake is not engaged? As I recall, unless it is, nothng happens at all - no lower of windows, no lowering of top.

purp check under the console, while you're there I think there's a thread on here about bypassing the parking brake cutout. That comes handy in florida.
I haven't tried it yet
