Hi, my name's Shaun and I'm new to this forum.
I have a problem and I hope someone can help me out. I have an 00 ap1 and it stalls at idle after its warmed up and i blip the throttle and when I put it in neutral during driving. It was in storage over the winter and i didn't start it up very often so I'm thinking something's clogged or sticking. I also disconnected the negative terminal on battery during storage. Thanks for reading. Any advice is appreciated.

 

disconnect the batt again. put it back start it up and let it run for 5-10 mins at idle. this will get the car to self re-learn the idle.

 

ok, thanks. I'll try that. so just let it idle for awhile and not blip the throttle?

 

just let it idle dont touch the throttle. it allows the ecu to relearn proper idle

Also, since it was in storage during winter try using Valvoline water remover or Heet 28201 to get rid of water condensation in your gas tank and fule lines.
