hello -- i am getting a thumping sound from my front suspension when the car is cold (in san diego, so not really cold) and hitting bumps (even very small bumps). disappears once the car has warmed up, and my baby only has 24k miles. shocks?

also, i will also get a thumping feel/sound when i engage first gear and when i lift off the throttle in first -- also only when car is cold. engaging clutch, letting out clutch, or moving shifter do not give noise ... only when letting out clutch in gear. i have been observing them for several weeks, and am definately having a tough time isolating where the sounds are coming from -- i think my description is pretty close.

any help would be appreciated!!
