Default help a guy get an s2000!

i love an s2000 just as much as all of you. i all know the specs, but i can afford anything pricey.(thats why im driving a miata.) i have been looking for an s2000 for months, but haven't found one in my price range...finally i saw one, but it has 110k miles....i know hondas a reliable, but im going to be autocrossing it and racing the thing. what are some things i should think about changing to it make it feel like a low mileage car....i know the clutch is an issue but what else...

I'd probably think about swapping out all the suspension bushings.

Just for insurance, I would replace the valve spring retainers. With that milage you never know if it might have been over-reved at some point. They can be replaced without removing the head. Total for parts to replace the retainers, springs, spring seats and keepers is about $200 from Majestic Honda. Don't need to do all of that, but as long as you are there...might as well make as much new as possible (and the springs have been known to crack as well).

is that really it? i was thinking i would have to replace something more serious...what if i were to put a comptech s/c in it later on? would it be durable enough because of its mileage?

Who can tell? If it's been run low on oil or over-revved, the engine's a time bomb waiting to explode. If it's been maintained well and the oil changed at 3500 mile intervals, it might be close to good as new. Mileage doesn't really matter any more. It's how it was maintained that determines whether it's a good car or not.
