Need help immediately - where does this Spring go?

Default Need help immediately - where does this Spring go?

There is a spring that is about 3' long and very small in diameter ~1/8 of and inch.... not sure where it goes? It comes with a small shaft that goes inside it....

That's for the fuel-injected pushrod. It opens and closes the EGR valve.

Pics?

I'm not certain, but maybe it came from the cam chain tensioner? Other than valve springs, that's about the only other thing in the head that I can think of that might have a spring in it.

figured it out .... its the spring within the auto tensioner.... there are two springs...... the big one and a smaller one( little er)

Ya, I'm guessing the spring was just laying around, and you picked it up by accident. I've done it plenty of times, and after hours of trying to figure it out, a few headaches and a couple busted knuckles, I realize that said piece belongs on a completely different component, on a completely different vehicle.

Pics would help a bunch, though.
