Help identifying between f20 and f22

Nah, the ECU controls fuel/ignition cut (the rev limiter), not the engine itself. Well now you know that you can rev to 9k provided the ECU is for the F20 and not the F22.

Hard to confirm what transmission you have though...
yeah I made a post in my region's forum looking for previous owner hopefully I can get in touch with him and see what is going on. But upon further review seems like the f20 is better for a pure NA build and I wanted to go the ITB route anyways lol

VIN number is on right front side of transmission bell housing, will clarify AP1 or AP2.

is this with the transmission removed? I had the car on my friend's lift and I couldn't find anything

Trans does not need to be removed, vin is on a green tag...

So I just took a look from the TOP instead of from the bottom this time, and managed to find an AP2 vin matching my car. Thank you so much for that information, I automatically assumed the vin would be located in the bottom somewhere haha
