Default Help with idle!

For the life of me I can’t get my idle right on my car... I’ve tried two IAC valves and they both do the same thing. I’ve done the idle relearn procedure multiple time. Can anyone offer input to what the problem might be? I posted a video of what it’s doing.

Were the IAC valves used?

That is a stuck IAC valve, or major vac leak, guaranteed.

One was my original. The other came with a used manifold I bought which is on the car now. I cleaned both valves. Took the motor off cleaned all carbon build up so the valve spun easily. So I guess now I need to track down a vacuum leak..?

Vacuum leak, check every line you know you touched and the ones you might have touched.

Had the same thing happen to me after cleaning my throttle body - one hose wasn't on all the way, gave it a little push and everything went back to normal.

So here is where I am at... I tired smoke to test for vacuum leak and the only place smoke came out was my intake tube. I also tried propane from my little torch. put a long hose on it and fished it around my injectors, manifold, vacuum block and the various hoses going to the block. no change in idle or anything.
Saturday I was able to take my car off base for the first time in awhile and get over 30mph. I pulled up to a stop light and my check engine light came on. P0505 for the IACV. the car bucked a little bit but I was able to get into a parking lot and check the code and delete it and it ran fine after that. but it still has that iritic idle. So I guess it's safe to assume the IACV is bad..? when taking the black part off to fully spin the part inside to clean it, is there a wrong way to put it back together? The part that goes into the motor has a tab on one side. Does that need to be oriented a specific way? Or do I just need to assume my IACV is bad and get a new one? Thanks.

When you put it back together, did you close the valve?

Jason talks about the orientation of the valve when putting the motor back on in his video (1:51min):

Yes, I oriented it the correct way after I posted my last comment and rewatched that video. Still does it. Car idles about 1200. Also, I found in the service manual when diagnosing the valve to block the two holes in the throttle body if it stalls it’s the valve if not it’s a vacuum leak. It stalled right away. So that’s a third verification it not vacuum.
