Default IACV not working

I took the Iac apart and cleaned it, removed the solenoid, and the idle still revs up and down. Replace the control valve attach to it??

Have you checked the TPS? I know many people had to adjust it to resolve this issue. I would mark it first though.

There is a article here on how to purchase a inexpensive one and modify the spacer.

Those are some ideas i have seen the TPS on a B16 cause this same problem, but so has the IACV and the throttle body

You sir have a tough situation that is a pain in the...

brother, I had the SAME EXACT problem. The little flapper valve inside the IACV was sticking ever so slightly. I replaced the whole IACV, fixed the problem

my car would Idle from like 1,000RPMS to 4,000RPMS back and forth and just stay at high RPMS sometimes

You are going to have to replace the the IACV

IACV sounds like the issue. Does it happen at all times, or only when cold in the morning?

try cleaning it with a different product again. Maybe a throttle body cleaner as it also has a lubricant quality to it so it might free up a sticking valve like one of the replies mentioned as being the problem. If that doesn't work then you might be in for a new piece. I cleaned mine last weekend and the idle is rock solid now, worked well, my 02 had 55k miles on it. When I cleaned mine I let the cleaning fluid sit in the chambers for a bit , I had the chambers filled right up with fluid to the upper lip and then sloshed it around after sitting for a few minutes prior to dumping. I did that a few times. hth.

a vacuum leak will cause your rpms to jump like that, if all vacuum lines look good then I guess the IAC would be the culprit.

BTW, we vacation in Daytona every July, love that place, I'll keep my eye out for an S200 this year
