Default Help with install! (now with new problem)

Ok I am installing K&N FIPK intake and wanting to remove existing heatshield so I can install a new J's heatshield (with premade hole for torque damper).... thought this would be a piece of cake...

But.... removing one of the hose is a total B1tCh.... I tried best I can with phillip head screwdriver and endless amount of elbow grease with no luck... it seems this hose is like glued... Photo below

The other problem I have is how the H3cK do you reach the fourth bolt between heatshield and stock manifold cover... I just need to loosen that up a bit and I can't even stick my socket wrench in there.... There barely any space to move even plier... Photo below

I really need suggestion/help guys.... atm those two are the only things that holding me up... I've pretty much done the rest except those two... and if I can I don't want to damage any parts as would love to revert back to stock in the future....

Thanks a loooooottttt!!!!

problem 1: You will probably need to grab the hose with some pliers right where the hose clamp used to be and twist it to break it loose.
problem 2: On USDM LHD models, that last bolt only needs to be loosened. The shield is slotted and will slide upward if the rest for the bolts are removed. A regular boxend wrench will slip down there but it takes strong hands to "pop" the bolt loose. Extra long end wrenches are available.

Try heating the hose up with a hair drier/lighter before you use the pliers. Just be careful not to melt it!

Pliers typically work for me.

Worst comes to worst you can buy 6 inches of 1/4" ID rubber hose from the hardware store after you use a utility knife to bisect the hose lengthwise off the TB coolant nipple.

The pliers will work on the hose. Dont pull on the hose while you are twisting with the pliers. Actually, push the hose towards the throttlebody as you twist.

Pliers usually work for me as well. Although, I've had to cut a couple lines if they're old.

Damaging it probably my last resort guys... it's the easiest obviously but it's also an irreversible process

I'll give it another try with pliers and twisting it without pulling....

Then hair drying it if it's still won't budge...

Thanks for the suggestions guys... I'll keep you guys posted
