Default Help! Issue with shifting

Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with shifting gears when the car is just starting up and even sometimes while at a stop light. The problem used to happen every once in awhile, but has been happening more often as of late and it would let me shift it into 1st or reverse if I let up on the clutch and then push it back down or if i force it into the gear. Now it feels like my clutch isnt pushing back at all, there doesnt seem to be much of a "sweet spot". The clutch is just really soft and it wont let me put the car into gear at all now. Any idea of what the problem could be? I'm leaning towards clutch

ditto on the fluid. Your master cylinder or slave cylinder could be going bad allowing fluid to leak and letting air in the system. This would create the "soft" feeling and eventually the slave wont travel enough to let you engage. Probably exaclty what you ran into

I would change the fluid first and see if that remedies the problem. If that doesn't work then I would check the clutch master cylinder. And so on and so on...

check inside the car for leakage from the clutch pedal coming from the piston. if it is leaking then the master cylinder is going.
