Hi, My beautie has started acting up at only 8,000 KM - it started with a 'clunking' noise on start up and then has a seriously low idle. After one week, the VTEC doesn't kick in. I took it to the dealership who said they'd get in touch with other dealerships to see if other S2K's had encountered similar problems. They came up empty-handed. I take it in to them on Tuesday for them to take a serious look at it.

Anyone out there had similar problems? I'm stressed out about this as it's such an oddity for Honda to have engine problems (esp. at such an early age).

Check your MAP sensor. I have heard several people complaining of similar problems and this was their fix!

M'kay - MAP thread... I'm a newbie - just love the thrill of the ride, don't know much about engine stuff. Do I do that, or is that the dealership?

How is the oil in your s2k? I know Vtec works off of oil pressure and if there isn't enough oil it will not kick in...just a thought.
