Default Help on lowering on 17's

if i were to run 17's on an s what shocks/springs would be ideal for daily driving and tracking. i would want it to lower 1-1.5 inches to just get rid of the gap...not slammed.

i know that stock shocks with lowering springs would hurt the shocks so what is a affordable suspension setup...koni? or what not.

and what springs lower 1-1.5 and are good and stiff. swift? kinda of a newb post, but even through searching, i havent been able to figure suspension out and put all the numbers together. thanksin advance
