Default Help me determine what is causing this sound

Please refer to this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LO3SEwOz2I

I have gotten some opinions from people saying it could be the Timing Chain Tensioner, or a pully that the serpentine belt turns. If anyone can help me determine what this issue is, I would greatly appreciate it.

background: I began hearing it after I taught my brother how to drive it. Yes, I cried the whole time but we don't have any other car for him to learn on, and he'll have to drive the s2k once in awhile. He stalled the car about 5 times.

I have also been recommended to get a valve adjustment. Can anyone else determine that from what you hear in the video?

Sounds like chirping tube seals due to the crank vents.

See if the noise goes away when you pull the dipstick out.

I may have just have joined this forum just last night, but i've seen you on many posts Billman. You know what youre doing! I removed the dip stick like you said and the noise went away. the noise comes back when i put it back in. What exactly is going on here? is this chirping tube seal to the crank vent a serious issue? what's the fix? thanks in advance!

New dipstick seals, or PCV valve?

Treating the tube seals with dielectric silicone might help. Personally I would ditch the crank vents.

Interesting. Where are the crank vents located, and how are they removed?

Can I just get new tube seals?
And 2nd on the crank vents, what do you mean you'd ditch them? How do I go about doing that?

I believe Bill is talking about those two shiny metal things placed in-line with the main breather and PCV hoses. Probably causing a restriction in flow and increased crankcase pressure.

Correct.

Order the hoses from Honda and eliminate them.
