the car has a comptech supercharger on without aftercooler.
the kit has been on the car for 3 months now without any problem until now.
here is what happen to the car now.
under normal driving in 4th gear, all in a sudden the car start to choke..and slowly..the car stall out.
good thing is that..i was in a down hill..so..i just let the car fly down in netural gear.
then..i pull over to the side for check up. pop the hood, take a close look, there is nothing worng with it.
no burning or any sights of problem. then I let the car cool down for like 3 mintues..then...try to restart the car .
boom.....i see..the "check engine" light come on and stay on. at this point..i was thinking...where is my AAA card..
then i restart the car, and rev the regine abite..the car stay on.
but, whenever i rev the car up to like 4k or 6k rpm..the car start to act like chocking and then..stall out again rite after.
and yes..you can smell little bite of smoke coming out from the exhaust....
and since i am not too far away from the destination where i was heading to.
i just pop into 1st gear and start driving, but in a speed of 30mph or less in 2nd gear.
during the drive...the car feels like gona stall out on me anytime soon..so..i have to keep my feet in the gas pedal
to keep the engine fron dying. the car dirves like its gona die out anytime soon...the car shakes a bite.
as soon as i get to the parking lot, i shut the car down and leave it along for like 3 hrs.
and after doing all the food shoping and things, i finally get back to my car, and try to start it up again.
the check engine light is still on, but, this time..the car starts up normal and no chocking at all.
so..i was thinking...there is no problem now and i better start driving it home with care and love.
for like 30 mintues...there is no sign of probem at all...and I also keep the car speed below 50mph in 4 gear.
then..when i almost turn into my drive way...i step on the gas pedal and rev the engine up to 6k rpm.
then...the problem comes back to me again..the car stall and die rite in front of my drive way.
so..this time i restart the car and take it slowly and bring my babe back to the garuage and rest.

my question is...can anyone tell me what are the potenial problem that i might have now?
my first reaction was..the car is lack of fuel...

any feed back with be helpful.

thanks

jay

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that when you pull the code, it will be related to the "MAP" sensor. Don't le this fool you. It is most likely not the MAP sensor. What I'm about to post will make the ECU "think" it's a bad MAP.
3 months is just about the right amount of time for some or the wiring connections to get loose and/or corroded. Do you know how the connections were made? Were they put on by simply wrapping the ends and electrical taped up? Were they put together with crimp connectors that were perhaps not quite as well crimped as they could have been? Were they soldered?
I'm going to guess again that they were (on the most part) crimped together with a single fast crimp. Time, temp, humidity, vibration, corrosion will work on these to make for a crappy connection. My suggestion is to go into all that wiring and go to each and every one of those connections and either solder them or crimp them again (in a slightly different place) AFTER you have ensured that the wire has not slipped out of position. Just for good measure, once you've done this, do the "MAP whack" anyway and reset the ECU. Let us know what happens.
I have been currently working with another Comptech owner with similar problems and after some weeks, we are getting close to this as being the solution.

LIke Viper said, check all the electric connectors and where did you get the kit installed? I'm from North Jersey also. Take back to that shop and they should stand up to their work.
