clearly this depends on what is damaged...

but think you will be talking about X000's Euros rather than X00's Euros if you have any significant work done.

^ ...and the purpose that you want to rebuild the engine for.

FYI: my CEL did not come on and my compression was still good in all cylinders.

I will check the cylinder compression, and I hope I only need to rebuild the bottom end.

Can this be done without removing the engine?

Same thing happend to my friend with his Turbo'd S. When he finally got it diagnosed he found out that he had cracked the #4 Piston. He also did not see a loss in power. They found it after doing a compression test and then by looking through the underside of the engine with the oil pan removed. He just had a loud "Ticking" noise. Hopefully yours isn't the same but just wanted to give you a scenario that I have seen first hand. When his "Ticking" started it was after a hard run to almost redline while boosting 8psi.

What sort of compression readings should I expect to see?

I know they should all be within a certain percentage of each other but by how much?

Does anyone know what the compression is on a F20C? It is not listed in the owners manual.

I am just guessing they should be within 5-6 lbs of each other??

I have just found that the compression should be 200 > 250 PSI with a difference of no more than 20 PSI between the cylinders.

Can anyone confirm this?
