Hi guys i do not post on here much but i have a issue i am looking for other opinions on. My stock 2007 s2000 threw that code out. I searched around and read up on coolant issues. Now since the code stated it is the CTS # 2 i want to say that is the sensor off the back of the block, not the one in the radiator. I was at my dealer ship and they insisted that the sensor i needed was the radiator one not the block one. Again they insisted that the CTS # 2 goes to the rad. Now this dealership has been know to mislead in the past. So i would like to ask you guys which sensor goes where. If i am reading the code right the CTS sensor that is reading a high value is the one on the block? And if that is the case than the sensor i bought from the dealership is the wrong one? Or are both sensors the same so this would not matter? Does an 07 s have two CTS's sensors?

Have you checked the connectors for bad contact? May just need cleaning.

 

I've got the same year 2007....Changed the oil, did some engine compartment cleaning....I'm now pulling the same code....P2185....'Coolant sensor #2 high value'.....
........This is the radiator sensor. Part# 37870-RAA-A01
