Help: Steering Column Nut

I am lowering the steering column by loosening the two 12mm nuts. I back off too much that one of the nuts just falls off and I am not able to put it back.

Any help is appreciated.

Nevermind. I get it fixed by asking my wife to lift up the steering wheel.
