Your engine appears to be running really rich. There may be other things not right with it. Those plugs are REALLY bad and so is the O2 sensor. Generally, the ones I've seen are a light brownish color, with a sort of "fuzzy" coating on them. Those plugs and sensor are covered with heavy soot and oily residue. There is something else going on.
Have you tried using OEM plugs? Can you be sure that those Bosch plugs are the right ones?
The stock O2 sensor should last well past 100K miles. BTW, which O2 sensor is that? Primary or secondary?

thats the primary, right in front of the cat, on the header.

the bosch plugs are the best I can get short notice. I'm an hour away from the closest dealer, so OEM isn't easy.

I guess its about time I found a shop to take it to. this is starting to get beyond what I feel confident messing with.

What mods do you have done, is the car completely in stock form?

only engine mods are comptech cai w/ AFE filter and a custom single pipe exhaust (original cat still in place). previous owner did intake/exhaust, i just put on new filter.

You do realize you can't just throw any old plugs on this car and expect them to do the job, right? You have to put plugs in that at LEAST meet the specs of the OEM plugs. It's like that for a reason. Please be sure you are putting appropriate plugs in, ASAP.

Aside from that, those plugs and sensor are terrible looking. As xviper said, something major is going on, and we can only guess at the problem. Guessing is not going to get you anywhere.

I suggest you take the car into a trusted honda dealership, rather than continuing to let a bad situation become worse.

I would buy a new map sensor with the updated zip tie for peice of mind.

I would examine and make sure the wiring harness going into the ECM and all other sensor wiring has not been tampered with. I know you said the previous owner put an exhaust and intake on the car, he might of also had a VAFC installed at some point.

Check out your valvetrain, or have someone check and see if there are any damanged parts or tolerances that need to be adjusted. A trip to the dealer may be in your future.

The plugs and O2 sensor look really bad. I would try decarbonizing the combustion chambers and then replace the plugs and O2 before even looking at replacing the MAP sensor. With plugs and O2 sensor look like that, no new MAP sensor will help the situation.

I'm wondering what all that brown residue on the back white part of the plugs is. Would that be a sign of plugs backing off? Were those plugs loose when you removed them?
