Default Help VTEC not working

ok guys I have a 06 S with 98000 miles completely stock not one mod ever....A while back I had to get the APP sensor swapped and since then ive had problems with the vtec kicking in, but after cleaning the solenoid and a few other things done it worked fine....just recently the vtec problems started again, it doesnt kick in...when I rip it it does not go over 108 mph and at stops it putters (seems really shaky like it wants to shut off) ...has any one had this problem before? any opinions on what this could be?
there are no check engine lights either...I already changed the oil, cleaned the solenoid and nothing...could it be the MAP sensor? on a facebook group one guy told me it could be a oil pressure sensor, havent checked that....I really wanna get this fixed this weekend please help

This may sound like a dumb question, but are you waiting for it to get warm? I was dumb when I first got my S and tried to go into Vtec, annnnnd locked at 6k rpm and wouldn't let me go into vtec. So make sure its warm.

Actually it is correct...but you have to be really low on oil. The VTEC pressure switch "monitors" oil pressure at the solenoid and will prevent the ecu from engaging VTEC if there is not sufficient oil pressure. It will also set a code.

I see it frequently on H22s. "My car won't go in to VTEC..." walk out...pull the dip stick...not a trace of oil on it. For whatever reason no one likes to check the oil on Preludes?

Sounds to me like it's related to your pedal position sensor swap. Have you verified it's proper operation with a scan tool?
