Just did some major install work (header, exhaust, oil jet botls) and when all was done, I noticed a threaded hole in the cylinder head, just forward of the header, next to the VTEC solenoid valve assembly. It appears to be a "closed" hole, i.e. it doesn't go all the way through into the vlavetrain area, but I don't know what it's for... I can find no mention of it in the Helm manual... All bolts removed/used during the installs are accounted for...
probably a mount for something RHD. i know on B-series Hondas, the valve cover had a threaded hole like that which was used for the throttle cable bracket which comes from the other side.
It's not a heatshield mount. As I said, all bolts are accounted for, and I have mounted all the heat shields. They do not come anywhere near this hole.
I'm betting Secret's right that it's used only in RHD configurations.
