i've been debating this with my local mechanic and we're both a little stuck.

If I floor my (otherwise lovely) s2k then as it climbs past 7k there's a fractional reduction in power for a moment. It's only a fleeting moment and it's quite subjective but I'm sure it wasn't there a few months ago. It doesn't feel like the steady push into the drivers seat any more.

We swapped the air filter for a nice clean one, as it needed doing anyway and it was cheap. No real improvement with this problem though.

The other thought I have is that I think (and it's only a think, I'm not 100% certain) that it's only been happening since the last service. The plugs where changed then.

The other option is not enough fuel hitting the engine? Some kind of sensor problem?

Anyway, if anyone has any bright ideas I'd be eternally grateful!
