Default High compression kit and AEM EMS

Hi

Researching for my next year project I ws thinking in Getting the toda High Compression kit, or similar, and the Toda Cams.

Their kit (pistons+rings) increase compresion to 11.7. They told that and AEM EMS or similar is mandatory becuase of the increased compresion.

I think that AEM EMS is not mandatory, becuase in japan the S2000 runs same compression with the sotck ECU. And we run here in Europe the same fuel than Japan, @$6 per gallon ,

I also asked if the kit can be used with the toda Cams spec A and they told me YES. Spec B cams can be used Too but needs the adjustable cams pulleys that does not comes preset, which is a pain for me here in Spain since the S2000 is very very rare here.

I'm sure you can get a set of higher C:R pistons than that!?! something like 13:1 maybe not from Toda but I'm sure I've seen them.

I have a spare JDM ecu if you want it mate

You can have pistons made to any spec you wish as long as you send you're existing piston off to the company unless they already hold a spec for the S2000, say JE or ROSS for instance.

regarding the immobilizer I have a CAT 1 alarm and immobilizer fitted extra anyway so its never bothered me, plus AEM doesn't have that option anyway

I shouldn't think you would you should be able to swap any ECU over as our key doesn't have a transponder in it like other cars where the ECU immobilizer relys on the key to arm/dissarm it.

Juan I was always told only North American S2000s have the immobilizer feature.
