Unhappy High Idle RPM

I've had my K&N Fipk installed for almost a month now and ever since two weeks ago (the second week after I reset the ECU when installing the intake), my cold start idle sits at 1.5k rpm wayyy longer than it used to, before I installed the intake the revs would drop pretty quickly to 1k and then 800rpm eventually. I originally thought this was an issue with resetting the ECU but after two weeks it should have learned the cold idle procedures right? The idle is fine after the car warms up and everything else seems normal.

Is this something I should e concerned about?

I have the exact same intake and the same thing happened to me. From what I've read it's perfectly fine. It's just gotta warm up a little.

Cool, I wonder why that happens though? is it the increased airflow that causes it? I figured the ECU would have relearned the idle procedure to compensate for more airflow if thats the case.

That's odd...I just installed the FIPK and my idle is exactly like before: 2,000rpm for a little, 1,500rpm for a little, then 900 when warm.

+1 i have it installed too. when the car is cold it will be at 2k for a while... once i get 3 bars on my temp gauge it will go down to 1.5k then once i get 4 it goes down to 800-900rpm... its normal you just need to warm it up. nothing to worry about.

Just to be sure, make sure vacuum lines are non-kinked and well connected.
