high rpm clutch problem
Ok guys, I've had my MY04 for a couple of years and have had many issues all of which I have overcome by searching these boards. However this new malady is elusive and a serious pain in my ass!
. so here is my best description possible: my clutch pedal feels pike it is completely locked at extreme RPM's (6k+) and in the mid range (4-6k) is very difficult to depress. Now this is not for the entire movement of the pedal, only the top 1/2". My fluid is cleaned and full, my slave head is polished and greased. My master cylinder does leak, but as I said the fluid is crystal clear and full.

I have an SOS clutch with less than 40k on it... To be honest I kinda think its the throw out bearing. But having rone 3 trannys don't really want to spend the 5+ hours to pull it:/

I'd start with the master cylinder first... since that is an obvious leak already. If that doesn't fix it, you will probably have to pull the trans to check things out. My pedal was binding due to lack of grease on the release bearing guide. It developed a groove which the throwout bearing would get hung up on.
