bought my s2k and as soon as i bought it i had the tranny fluid changed. turns out that it was motor oil instead of tranny fluid. do people commonly do that? or is that no correct to do?

 

Motor oil can be use temporarily as tranny fluid.

My H22's tranny(M2B4) used motor oil. I thought it was odd when I first figured that out.

 

I used Schaeffers synthetic 10W-30 for a couple of years until I switched to Amsoil MTF. It worked better for longer than anything else I've used (Honda, GM, etc.).

 

Yes people do that all the time, are they people you want working on your car? NO

Is it a temp fix? YES

Is it worth the extra money for MTF? YES

Is it friday and should we be worrying about driving our s2000's instead of typing? YES
