Hole in Driveshaft... help urgent

Default Hole in Driveshaft... help urgent

I just put a hole in the driveshaft where the 6mm allen key bolts in process of changing the clutch. what can i do about this. I can see the grease. the hole is about a nickel size.

do i need to replace the driveshaft? or can i buy a seperate part and what can I do for a temporary fix?

my driveshaft bolts are also stripped now. dam this has been fail.

I do know you just cut the heads off the bolts if needed to get them out

bout the hole...i havent a clue

just buy a new one, the shaft is balanced because it spins very fast and buy drilling a hole material was removed. Check the for sale threads im sure you can pick one up for a good price.


this only applies if you put a hole in the metal lol, if its just the cv boot then maybe use the link provided below or somthn simillar

I was just thinking of wrapping the drive shaft with hella tape to prevent any leaking.

does ap2 fit on ap1? i have an 2003 s2000, will ap2 driveshafts fit?

No, AP2 propshafts use different flanges at both ends; you'd have to swap flanges in both the tranny and diff.

if i drill off the bolt heads how do i get the rest of the bolt off?

i got the driveshaft bolts by sacrificing 2 12mm sockets lol. what can i do about the hole now...

Is the hole on the actual driveshaft metal part or the rubber boot?

A ghetto fix would be to just get that rubber tire patch and patch that rubber part IF its just the boot. JUST a temporary relief until you get parts to fix it properly

As far as allen bolts go. I usually just get a pair of large vice grips and break them loose that way if i strip it. The trick to removing them is to apply direct instant force with like an impact and a good allen key.
