holes in rag top
So I purchased my S2 new in 2004. I got the service bulletin repair to the roof frame (whatever it was). Then, about a year later, I had a small hole in my roof (driver's side, about 2/3 of the way to the front). The dealer replaced the rag top. Then, about a year later, another hole in the same place (dealer is about to put a second replacement rag top on it). My concern is that in a year, I'll have another hole. Anybody have a similar problem, fix??
make sure the elastic straps are also replaced with the top itself. They wear out over time and can cause the frame to not fold correctly and put stress on the top material. Not saying that is what is causing it, but just something to be aware of.
my bro's friend just mentioned this generic s2000 problem to me the other day. He owns a '06 with 40k and it has ripped through. I own a '08 with 25k and it is starting to wear on the inside. How do I address this? Should I bring it back for warranty? I bought it second hand.
He mentioned something about a service bulletin floating somewhere. Can someone point me in the right direction?
ALSO
i have the AP2 with bad bumper fit. How can I fix that too?
I hate dealing with dealerships and trying to get them on board to fix these things b/c they give you such a hard time. If you are in Central NJ or NJ and know of a cooperative dealer to fix these s2000 bugs please post up. THANKS!
I love driving the s2000 but I wasn't aware of these s2000 problems. I would sleep easier at night if I got them fixed.
