I just got the car a month ago, but the first week I ended up getting an oil change at my local Honda dealership only because the scheduled maintenance was cheaper than a used car inspection. I usually change my oil myself. Anyway, I know that AP1s burn a good deal of oil, and since I will need to top the oil off, what oil can I use? On the repair receipt it says that they used synthetic blend 10w30 oil. I remember seeing that Honda oil is just repackaged Mobil oil. Is this true?

Depends on the dealer. There are a ton of existing threads on oil that you can refer to.

Top off with the same branded oil that was used during the change.

Some use castrol gtx i think.

I think the non-synthetic is rebranded Mobil Oil and the synthetic is Castrol.

The Honda dealership i work for uses Mobil 1 blend.

when i bought my car the "tech" that changed the oil and inspected it used 5w20. by the time i got home (20 highway miles) i was 2 quarts low!

be careful man, i would change it out if i was you.
