Default Honda MTF Question

I just changed my manual transmission oil. I had Honda MTF in there, and I replaced it with Honda Genuine Manual Transmission Fluid. But it seems very low viscosity, unlike what I remember. Now, last time I changed was winter, and this time the two bottles had been sitting in the warm sun for about 30 minutes, but it was very liquidy. Is this normal?

the old fluid is 10w30 based, i dont think the new one is any different.

yes, it's has very low resistance to flow compare to other mtf, like mazda and toyota, which uses 75w90 weight oil.

This is the new MTF with the white cap? It doesn't look very 'thick' to me either. Give it a few hundred miles. My car shifted much better with it after it warmed up.

the new stuff is in a silver bottle, green label, and white cap. the fluid is very thin and pinkish in color.

try it, you'll like it!

The new Honda MTF is manufactured by a company I represent called Idemitsu Lubricants; www.apolloamerica.com. They do alot of factory fill for Honda, Toyota, Subaru, etc.
Did your company do the original Honda MTF?

The change in thickness will be quite noticeable from winter to sitting in the sun during summer.
