While you're at it, buy the 30 dollar Mugen filter and see how it is.

So which is better the 6 hole or the 8 hole?
The 6 holes on the Filtech are slightly larger then the 8 on the Toyo Roki so it's about the same.
Look on page 1 for a side by side picture.
You can't buy Toko Roki 8 hole filters anymore so don't even worry about it

something I would like to point out, on the last page somebody mentioned putting too much faith in Honda genuine parts... go to the honda dealership and ask them what type of oil they use... "honda genuine oil" what the really means, is Honda approved oil...... Where I live, the local dealership uses Pennzoil base line oil. the next dealership uses Shell...

Ford does the same thing....... (I think it was ford...) Ford has a recall on a PCV valve on a certain car, which WILL fail again and lead to engine failure... when they issued the recall on the vehicle, they told all the dealerships that if they use any aftermarket PCV valves, which even the cheapest ones had the fic built right in, would void the warranty......

grain of salt?

again, the bottom line is synthetic blend filter media works better than standard cellulose media, that's well established fact

No, its a well established fact that Honda recommends only one kind of oil filter for this car.

to be honest, who gives a shit? Honda doesn't manfacture the filters or get paid to research them, they just spec something that does the job "good enough"...same goes with their trans fluid and engine oil, there is abundant evidence both are satisfactory products, but there are better products out there

some members of this forum really, really need to get off the "yes, Honda, your worship" robot philosophy...I guess I just don't understand the Honda club mentality, and hopefully never will, it's just another jap manufacturer to me with the same shortcomings

This is way off topic but where is the cheapest you can find these at? So far I've found em for $7.50ish from handa-acessories if you buy 6.
