No actually your 3 year 36 000 mile warranty is bumper-to-bumper. You still get a 5 year warranty that covers your engine and transmission-differential.

My S2000 was bought in 2003 so the engine-tranny warranty ends in 2008. And since the head gasket is part of the engine, they have to cover it under warranty.
Nope...I have the warranty booklet in front of me and its 3 years/36,000 mile warranty for the powertrain as well.

I think they did change the warranty for 2006+ models here in the US though.

"Powertrain Limited Warranty (years/miles) = 5/60,000" On a new 07 in the US.

Well I redline my car a lot and drive in VTEC often but that's what the S2000 is made for...
Headgaskets survive in much more powerful engines than the S. I think she was being just a little bit bitchy with you.

I don't get it; so in the USA pre-2007 S2000s only get 3 year powertrain warranty while us in Canada get 5 years?

quick question: how long should it take to machine the F20C's head?

I'm paying for a stupid 2001 automatic Honda civic loaner car while my car is getting fixed; the dealership told me they started working on the car last thursday....

So is it safe to assume that today (monday) after 3 whole days of ''working'' on my car that it will be ready?
