No actually your 3 year 36 000 mile warranty is bumper-to-bumper. You still get a 5 year warranty that covers your engine and transmission-differential.
My S2000 was bought in 2003 so the engine-tranny warranty ends in 2008. And since the head gasket is part of the engine, they have to cover it under warranty.

I think they did change the warranty for 2006+ models here in the US though.
"Powertrain Limited Warranty (years/miles) = 5/60,000" On a new 07 in the US.

quick question: how long should it take to machine the F20C's head?
I'm paying for a stupid 2001 automatic Honda civic loaner car while my car is getting fixed; the dealership told me they started working on the car last thursday....
So is it safe to assume that today (monday) after 3 whole days of ''working'' on my car that it will be ready?
