Default HONDATA S2000 system?

I got the new October 05 issue of Modified Mag, and there is a section about HONDATA ECU tuning...

There is a picture of a HONDATA unit with side caption saying "HONDATA's S2000 system is an interface box that connects to the modified stock ECU", I made sure that it said S2000 not S200...

I read all four pages of the article and there is no information about it...

I also went to HONDATA.com and found no such thing for the S2K but the Insulator Gasket...

Is this out already or was it just a teaser?

Thanks for hearing me out,

Philip

Little blue box? It's a S200 system for B-motors. It's a typo, that's it.

There is no Hondata system available. Hondata has made it exceptionally clear they won't be developing a system anytime soon.

I agree... most likely a typo. I dont think the cost benefit of developing the hondata system for a such a small market would be beneficial to them.

btw - I had the S200 hooked up to a P72 on my prelude... made over 10whp after AFR and vtec engagement tuning.

It was metioned a while ago that the Hondata system for the K20 engine could be fiddled with the work the F20C, I'm not sure if this was fact or just someone wishful thinking!?!

The s200 system consists is an interface box which connects to a modified stock ECU.
considering that they use the EXACT same phrase....it's a typo 100%

hehe yeah. UL has stated hondata is not working on anything for the S2000. in fact, I site this example here:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...dpost&p=4812872

(the RSX conversion was talk of using an RSX modified ECU for the S2000)
Doug Macmillan (co-founder of Hondata) is standing next to me in my office as I type this:

UL - "Doug, planning on doing an S2000 ECU?"

Doug - "No"

UL - "Any timeframe on the RSX conversion?"

Doug - "No, there's a difference between wanting to do something and having the time and resources to do it in a cost effective manner. There is nothing in the pipeline at the moment. While we will continue to investigate options, please don't call us asking for solutions because we don't have one. The problem is that the S2000 ECU is the only one in Honda's range that is not programmable."

I hope that clears things up folks. I typed as he spoke.
