I lost 30 lbs with my wheels and lugs, then used stock rubber.
for under 1600.00
then sell your stock wheels and you have reduced your cost to just over 1000.00

You need to check your options better.

Not to be a devil's advocate, but rotating mass is not what you are proposing to change out.

Also, reduction in weight for rotating mass will not guarantee better performance. It is all about where the weight is.

What you are proposing to do is good, but they way you are proposing is not the cheapest by far.

The cheapest titanium bolt on the above site is $4.50. It would take about 153 M5 bolts (stnls to tit) to equal a pound of savings. That's a $686/lb. Not a very good deal.

Go for the big stuff first...battery, wheels, flywheel, exhaust, spare tire.

You could shave your head and save a couple of grams.

it's cheaper and more efficient to lighten/strengthen the drivetrain.

you could go on a diet too and get better weight savings.

Rick, are you serious?! You're one of the funniest members I've seen yet. Please don't take that to heart.

Anyways, your theories are a joke. Taking off the hood support to save weight?

-carbon fiber hood
-carbon fiber trunk lid
-remove trunk liner & spare
-remove jack & tools
-remove all heatshields
-remove owners manual & paperwork (paper's heavy!!!!! )
-remove floormats
-remove stereo & speakers
-remove passenger seat
-remove sunvisors
-aluminum brake calipers
-cross drilled slotted lightweight rotors
-aluminum crank pulley
-aluminum flywheel
-carbon driveshaft
-gel-cell battery
-carbon fiber plug cover
-lightweight radiator supports
-carbon fiber intake
-titanium exhaust
-aluminum lightweight radiator
-5W-30 oil.. lightweight
-replace engine mounts with lightweight aluminum moutns
-all aluminum suspension
-manufacture aluminum control arms

need i go on?... come on.. this is a joke.. buy an intake and be happy with it.

How about save the money and lose some body weight (nothing personal, directed at no one)......or take a big dump before going for a drive.

This way, you will get a 'lighter' car and be healthier.
