That sucks after only 3 weeks of owning it. I feel like i still own my old DSM . I'll get it towed to Honda tomorrow and hope for the best.

Things will get better man, I misshifted from 3-2 on my third day of finally getting my s2k, bent the valves, couldnt drive the car for weeks till I saved up money to fix it. Start looking for a used motor, I remember seeing a few here in the for sale forum for good prices. Honda will charge you an arm and a leg.

"slightly under the low mark", not good.
Actually slightly under the low mark is fine.

The dipstick only shows the top litre of the oil capacity of 5 litres. So "slightly under the low mark" is about 75%.

Well I got it towed to Honda this afternoon. They had appointments all day and would look at it tomorrow morning. The s2000 still looks amazing even when getting towed .

ok so just a lil update on my friends s2k. one of the techs at honda suggested that the previous owner could have been running 85 octane in the car and created mucho carbon deposits. now that he is running 91 that the car is starting to make those sounds.

does that sounds like something that could actually happen? i mean in the video it really just sounds like something knocking against something in the block. they said they are going to blow out all the carbon to see if that helps. they already did a valve adjustment and checked valves, springs, and retainers, all good there. whats your opinion?

if it hasn't been done already do an oil change and make sure to top it off. have them drop the oil pan so they can take a look at the rods and bearings.
