Horsepower?
Could someone please tell me how I can find out how much horsepower I have? I know for sure that it has been modified, but don't know how much. Is there somewhere I can look to find this out? Give it to me in simple terms, I am a girly girl.
Whta type of stuff do you have done to your car? What type of exhaust, intake, anything? The only real way of finding out is to get it dynoed.
Check out the corner, they love new girlies there. Theyll give you a warm welcome.
Well, I have not done anything to it. I bought it this way. Exhaust is different. Comptech I think. Some body add-ons. Was told 255 or 265 HP, but want to know for sure. And... that little "whore" sign was not appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I appoligize. The little sign is the mascot for the corner forum. Its not meant to be mean or anything.
With an exhaust the cars not going to be 265. Maybe at the flywheel which is what most car manufactures post there HP numbers from. The stock is 240 hp= to about 200 at the wheels.

Thanks for clearing up the sign remark. Got a little ruffled. I am new here, as you might well have guessed. I am now really interested to find this information out.
Thank you for your input.

HP and WHP are different.
WHP always going to be less then HP because you lose some power on the ground.
but stock HP is 240...with bolt on, maybe 245-250 at most, depending on what you have on.

I think you got a "sales pitch" by the seller? Most aftermarket dual systems might gain you 5 whp, if that. A single might gain you more.
As already said, get the car dynoed if you really want to know for sure, but then, this will not tell you how much you gained from the mods. It will only tell you if you are in the right "ballpark". Consider 200 whp as a reference point. Completely stock cars have dynoed anywhere from 175 to 220. Pretty astonishing range, huh.
As for the Corner, if you go there, lurk for a while till you get the "tone" of what goes on there. If you post in there, take with you a HUGE grain of salt, an AMPLE sense of humour and a THICK skin.
