Can someone point me to the thread about how to adjust the top latches? Mine are a little loose.

Thanks

I just tried the same Search, and pulled pages of threads. Are you using the advanced Search?

The latches have some adjustment in alignment to the strikers, but nothing to adjust how tight they hold.

I think you may recieve a better response in UTH, as it more suited to general questions.

I've moved it there.

As far as I know, there's no adjustment to the latches themselves. The latches from older models seem to wear out pretty fast. There is however, an ajustment to where the top stops in the up position. In theory, if it were to stop a bit further away than it does now, then when you close the latches, they would be tighter. There is a TSB on how to adjust this on the S2ki main page. There's a rubber boot covering a bolt head behind the doors, inbetween the brushes. Remove it, and use a crow's foot wrench and loosen the bolt (Gotta have the top down to do this). This will make the bolt hit the stopper at an earlier point, making the top stop a bit further than normal, making your latches tighter. Might want to replace your latches...but you have an 04, and it shouldn't have wore out so soon....Also, try to undo you latches at the same time, so as not to stress one side or another over time...

Hope this helps.
