How bad is it pulling first gear out without pressing the clutch going at 10 MPH? What are the internal damages?

Because my girl ask me to teach her how to drive manual today, so I did. It started all great, she learned how to get the car moving and all. Then I taught her how and when to change gears. For the first two runs she did great. Until when she pull first gear out without pressing the clutch. Oh well!

thanks

you are teaching her on the S !!!!!

You should have no damage what-so-ever
As long as she didn't try to ram into second, and it didn't make any strange noised, you are fine.

Like Spapdx said: Not bad at all.

An alternative to double clutching is to pop the car out of gear, depress the clutch slide it into the next gear and depress the clutch. It would probably lead to increased gearbox wear in the long term, but once it should be just fine.

Looks like you will have to apologize for bitch slapping her

just spend like 25 bucks and get a rental car that is manual(very rare but possible). that way you can learn on a car that is not yours. hahah :grind: :grind:
