There is no harm done for pulling gear out to the neutral without depressing clutch, so you can rest in peace

As mentioned by other up there, it would become somewhat problem if the person try to force the gear in without clutching.

Hey Larry, what's wrong with allowing your girl to take the S for a spin?
I let my girl to take my rocket out for a brief spin eventhough she doesn't quite know how to drive manual. I was pleasantily surprised she actually was able to drive away(beginner's luck I guess) but soon she started to stall and kept stalling from one stop and never recovered. I tried to calm her down and instruct her to get moving again but she gave up and begged me to take over. Of course I wouldn't let her do this in day time or any streets but I let her drive mine because it was late at night and practically no cars were on the street we were on.
I loved her for trying so hard.
Needless to say she was very impressed with performance and handling comparing to her Civic.

That's part of the fun. I've been teaching my 15 year old daughter and she is doin' great. She loves the car. How would you like to be 15 again and learn to drive in a S2K?

Wow... I think some of us need to step off our high horses and realize that this is just a car. I taught my 17 year old sister-in-law how to drive a manual in the s2k because I felt that it's a much easier car to learn on than my Celica.
