Default How to change rotors

I need to install new rotors and pads. I found a sticky in the DIY section for how to change pads but not rotors. My rotors and pads came in today and I would like to change these out this weekend if possible. Any help would be great.

Any helps? Pics? Threads?

if you see there should be screw near the stud for the wheel.
you just have to loosen it and rotor should just come out.

I would also like to know if there are any special tools need and torque requirements for the screws/bolts/nuts that I'll be removing.

If you remove the brake calipers, you're 99% of the way there.

The things that I think are handy to have on hand:
1. WD-40 / liquid wrench / PB blaster to loosen the rotor face screw.
2. Cheapo Impact driver with Philips head screw for removing the rotor face screw.
3. A handheld drill with plenty of drill bits for drilling out the rotor face screw after the head of the screw gets chewed up.

It's really simple if you get the screws out in one piece. It's a big PITA if you strip the screw.

You say I may need to drill out these screws if I strip them....Obviously these would need the be replace. Are these common screws that can be picked up at your local auto store or do they need to be ordered through Honda? Any part numbers?

My rotors that came in did not come with any hardware...

Thanks

you dont need them screws. they are just there to hold there rotor in place when putting back the caliper.

^ Yea you do not need to replace those damn screws. I picked up an impact screwdriver and it made life SO much easier.

I left them off as well. If you do get them out easily and choose to reinstall them, use a light coating of anti-seize before putting them back in.

The way I did it was: after applying liquid wrench, slightly hammer/tap a (properly sized) philips screw driver bit and take a vise grip to them and break it loose with a light hammer tap on the vise grip. This worked on the 6 rotors that I worked on/helped with.
