How do you know when your clutch needs replacing?

Thus by also using the clutch/motor to slow down your car, your saving gas!

A proper engine braking is a good driving technique.
Just make sure to rev-match properly without slipping the clutch.
The S2000 is really easy to rev-match, imo.
Maybe it's the heavy flywheel and DBW that makes it easy for me, tho.

I never engine brake on the street in normal condition, there just no point to it for me.

on the track, engine braking is very helpful, of course working in conjunction with brake also.

it's not just the clutch, all the drive train and mounts are talking a toll on engine braking

braking is easier and cheaper...but I do both: but engine breaking is more difficult for me.

Almost all the cars I have owned in 24 yrs of driving have been manuals and I've never went through a clutch. I use a combo of brake and clutch when slowing down.
