Default how hot do exhaust pipes get?

I need to coat my catback but I'm not sure how hot the exhaust pipes get. I know headers are extremely hot but what about after the cat?

thanks

Don't use BBQ paint. Go with a high temp powder coat if you can.

Calipers and exhaust done w/ HT PC:

This is what happens to BBQ paint on calipers after trackdays.

Brother did it for me, all I paid for was the powder itself.

high temperture enemal will hold up to 1200 degree, but you have to stick it in the oven big enough to hold the darn thing

I've used Duplicolor high temp paint and never had it flake off, even on the cat flange.

u don't need to stick the exhaust in the oven to cure after using high temp paint. just drive with it on and the heat from the exhaust will bake it.

or go with inconel
