The top is light as stated above, but you need a person on either side of the top for putting it on and taking it off due to the sheer dimensions of it.

As an alternative, you can make or purchase a special hardtop hoist for your garage which you can use to get it on/off by yourself. It is basically a set of straps and pullies set up above the car in the garage that you use to pull the top straight up in the air.

I thought all the OEM hard tops came with the hardware kits.
They do, however there are special additional kits needed for the early produced 2000 models and a different kit for the 00-01 to add the defroster. The 02+ kits that come with the tops are all the same.

THANKS GUYS!!! i'll def check into that!

Also, since they are practically half the weight... was it hard for you to pick up the hard top and put it on? did you have a buddy? because i'm wondering if i'm able just to do it myself.
I usually don't have help when I take off or put on my hardtop thus some of my panels are scratched , its not that its heavy its just awkward like stated above..

No problem. It was enjoyable. I am removing the soft top tonight at another member's garage so I might do the same for that. It might help those who are considering replacing their soft top for whatever reason.
