awesome stuff im glad i found this seeing as i might be purchasing one soon out of necessity 
Also definitely gonna go with the soft top delete and a write up would have been just superb but we cant always get what we want...

i saw on here one time a permanent hard top install deleting the strikers and bolting it with brackets and what not. I think it was almost another 10lbs weight reduction and a more solid, permanent fit...
If anyone knows any detail please do share this is a really good thread!

sweet! I wished I found this thread when I was installing my Mugen hardtop. I had to look at the pictures on the Japanese instructions and read the DIY for Mugen hardtop installation at the sametime. Oh well... nonetheless, I got the job done and it is a piece of cake! I love how the hardtop accentuates the car styling.

Thanks, Great DIY, was a lot of help.
Only thing I changed, was instead of using a metal punch to 'pound the metal in'. I used a piece of hardwood dowl. This worked fine to bend the metal, but, did not damage the paint on the metal.
