Default How much HP before sleeves?

I was wondering, how much HP can the factory block with stand? I am thinking of putting rods and pistons in and would like to skip the sleeves depending on how much HP the factory block is safe to run. Im sure some people here know from experience what kind of HP puts a hole in the side of your cylinder. Thanks!

Assuming your going FI? I don't think HP destroy engines, it's how you're making the HP. What exactly are you planning on doing?

EDIT: Just to clarify, there's components of the engine that will fail due to stress created by high power levels. I think what you're asking though is how much pressure can the stock cylinders withstand before failing?

The stock motor with and without a 3mm hg has held over 700hp. I've seen daily driven 500 and 600hp cars as well.

Awesome, I am going to put in rods and pistons and hope for the best I guess, I dont really want to pay $1200 or more for sleeves unless I have to. Im planning on going the turbo route. 6-700 hp should be plenty, hopefully the block holds up.

u realize the stock sleeves are FRM material? you can only use one or two different types of pistons on those sleeves, adn even then it can still be disasterous.

STOCK EVERYTHING the motor can make 400-700whp, depending on type of gas. stock motor is very happy in the 400-500 pump piss.

its something called dynamic compression and quench area. f20/22 is beast motor.

like stated above your post, stock motors have help 500-700whp, so save your money spent on rods and pistons, and use it towards a great and experienced s2000 tuner.
