Default How much all motor HP is available

I was wondering how much hp i would be able to get outa the s2k without going into the block too much. like how much hp is available thru a standalone engine management like aem. If you have a good setup post results please!

While I personally don't numbers, from everything I have read from UL (Sean Church, Church Automotive) expect gains in the 15 to 20 whp range with AEM and full bolt-ons. I'm assuming that's where you're drawing the line. You mentioned not wanting to rebuilld the lower half of the motor, I'm also assuming you don;t want to get into cams and head work.

I'm sure this will be widely contested as there are many who will claim that there exhaust alone yielded 10 hp. Like I said I'm reporting what I have read from one of the more credible people in the industry.

Allthough this is also dependant on what MY you are refering to, but that's a can of worms that's just not worth opening.

Is there a Intake/exhaust that's best? I'm thinking about only these mods and wondering if you can feel the difference of +15hp.

all i have right now is the aem cold air and a spugen single exit catback, the gains arent huge, but there is a noticable power increase in midrage 5-7k but after that the gains seem to level out. if anything get the intake and exhaust for the sound. you wont regret it

i've seen aem ems intake/exhaust/header/test pipe S2000's put down in the 250-260 wheel horsepower range.

I wouldn't mind 260 whp with some bolt-ons...
