How To Remove Cluster Trim?!?!

Default How To Remove Cluster Trim?!?!

I got an AP1 Sliver Cluster trim to replace my balck one. I am trying to remove the trim that goes around the guages....you know the piece that the audio and climate controlls are attached to. Does anyone know how to get it out?? I look at old post but they didnt have pic or they were dead links Thanks

  1. Remove the two small screws holding the lower steering wheel cover.
  2. Loosen the two nuts holding the steering wheel, until they are barely still on the bolts. This will drop the steering wheel about 2-3"
  3. Remove the covers on the two screws on the top, underside of the bezel. They are located at the 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock about 2.3" from the speedo. This will take a thin, small screw driver or pick.
  4. Remove the two screws
  5. Using your finger, from the right lower corner, start to pull the bezel away from the dash working you fingers around the bezel.
  6. You will need to disconnect both controls from their wiring harness.

In this thread he show's a few pics on what to do to remove it. Hope it helps you some! Trust me it is very easy to get remove and replace it. One tip would be to put some masking tape on the edges of the trim bezel where it is closest to the steering wheel. People always get chips and mess up their bezel there from taking it off and on.
