How To Remove Cluster Trim?

Default How To Remove Cluster Trim?

i was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the cluster trim around the cluster....its basically the whole metallic piece.....with vents and everything......i unscrewed the two screws that are hidden...but i cannot seem to remove the completly....seems like i might need to remove the steering wheel as well...does anyone know how to remove it? thanks....i tried to do a search but ended up not finding anything...im pretty sure there is a tread....much help is appreciated...thanks

You will need to remove the bottom plastic under the steering wheel. Once you do that you will see a bracket that hold the steering colum up. Carefully loosen both bolts a little at a time. First one side then the other. Do not completely unscrew but take it as far as you can without taking the bolts off. This will drop the steering colum enough you should be able to remove the bezel from around the instrument cluster.
